Creating personal art and design projects is hard to do when you're surrounded by classes, events, people, and other distractions ever-present here at Stanford. That is why the Stanford Storyboard Club is sponsoring a trip away from campus, into the mountains for people who want to take a weekend to focus on nothing but jump-starting a project. Almost every professional art, design, film, or other creative project starts with intensive storyboarding, and we want to provide this same opportunity to the creative students on Stanford's campus. We are offering a heavily subsidized (or free, depending on a student's need) trip to work with and around other Stanford designers, artists, etc. for the third weekend of Spring quarter.
2015 - 2016: The 1st Production Weekend
Friday, April 15 - Sunday, April 17, 2016
We went out to the Stanislaus National Forest and spent the weekend focusing on creative projects we've worked on individually and in small groups. Co-presidents Albert Gehami and Brooke Mandujano developed and recorded episodes for their podcast The Scripture.
Other members worked on landscape drawing and capturing nature through sketching.
